Compostable Wrap Refill Roll
Amazing find
Not only is it a plus that the plastic wrap is compostable but the dispenser is so cool and very well constructed. The only thing I have a problem with is the wrap sticking to itself. Once it does, there is no getting it unstuck. For me that has not been a deal breaker. I just have to take my time and handle with care and patience. The cutter works perfectly and is so much better than having to tear the plastic off with the saw tooth edge on most boxes. The plastic wrap also seals nicely on my glass containers. This was an amazing find and I highly recommend.
Makes cutting plastic wrap a breeze!
This is a real handy kitchen tool. I always struggle with plastic wrap. It likes to stick together itself. This will help! I waste much less wrap than I used too. The wrap sticks to the cutter base and it just slides across cutting the wrap. Cool design! The weight of the cutter holds the whole thing down so it is very stable. It's a nice size as well, tucks into a little spot! I recommend this kitchen aid.
Smooth!
Love the look and ease to use. Zipper cutter is smooth; cuts and glides with ease. Removes the clutter of boxes in the pantry.
A Welcome Addition to the Kitchen
This is an item I wish I would have found much earlier. For far too long, I struggled time and again with getting plastic wrap out of its flimsy boxes and onto the bowl or other item I needed to cover. Most of the time, the plastic wrap would fold onto itself long before I was able to apply it where it was needed. Thankfully, this dispenser changes all of that. It is easy to dispense the wrap and get exactly as much as you need. The sliding cutter tool makes removing the wrap just as easy. Best of all, no more fighting with plastic wrap that has gotten stuck to itself. If I had to criticize this dispenser, I would say that the plastic wrap roll doesn't always stay in place and I occasionally have to stick my hand in the slot to reorient it. This isn't awful, and it is still much better than trying to use those dull little serrations on the box to pry the wrap loose. Overall, this item is very functional and - more importantly - useful. I will probably be purchasing more as gifts.
You'll love this!
Love it. This will change your "cooking" life! Cardboard wrap boxes have no quality anymore and fall apart needing 3 hands to untwist wrap. Pulling the wrap out next to the bowl to cover and using the quick zip is not only easy, it's thrilling! Good quality bamboo with slide out side to insert roll. Sharp cutter.
Best mechanism ever
Works absolutely great! Bought it for my mom because she HATES trying to tear saran wrap off its own box. I too hate trying to tear saran wrap, so I got her this super easy slicing box and it works so well! Also works on tinfoil as well. The look of the wood and feel is also amazing quality and would recommend to ANYONE.
Good quality bamboo plastic wrap dispenser
Perfectly fits standard plastic wrap, I like that it has a cutter, it works well. Comes with a double sided sticky tape to avoid container movement. Fits in my kitchen drawer, recommend. Good value for the money
Works good
Got one for myself and my daughter. We both like it very much. It woks good, cuts well and evenly. No more crumbling box, no more cuts on fingers and hands. A little on the big side, but it's functional, durabnle, and the design allows for easy refill of rolls.
My cabinet is organized and dosen't look a mess.
Easy to use. Keeps aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, and cling wrap organized. My husband said this is "smart"; why didn't someone think of this sooner?
Problem solved
The sliding cutter ends the frustration of cardboard boxes of wrap not cutting and the wrap clinging to itself. My roll of Glad Wrap fit well but some rolls could have a cardboard tube that is too long for the box. A saw may solve that problem.
No fumbling
I have wanted one of these for awhile now. I love it! No fumbling around. Its great.
Better than a torn up box
We buy our plastic wrap at Costco. By the time we are finished with it, there is hardly a box left. This is great. Trick is to make sure the wrap is over the zipper thing when you store it. It does seem to be easier pulling it out when you take the extra step.
